Solar Panels
The Stanwood Community Preschool (SCP), is a 2015 grantee of the Snohomish County PUD’s Planet Power program. This program enables non-profits and/or schools like SCP to purchase a solar system for renewable power generation.
SCP is excited to announce that the installation of their 19 solar panels and 5.225 kW system was completed in October 2015, and is fully on-line and contributing to the power grid. The public can use the button below to view how much power SCP has generated today, last week, last month; as well as compare what this amount of power is energizing – such as light # bulbs for 1 hour.
SCP anticipates the new system will save them 1/3 of their annual electricity costs over the 25-year life of the system. The public is welcome to drive by and view our new solar panels on the south-facing roof, on the rear alley-side of the building, located at 27027 102nd Dr. NW.
